Social Place (Orchard) | Hong Kong Dim Sum & Mod Chinese Restaurant

So glad we got a table for a birthday celebration. Been a while since we visited. Service staff were so friendly and attentive. Menu was fun as I remembered. Food was wonderful and reasonably priced. They even placed us in a private room which was a fine touch. Stand out dishes is the Sweet & Sour pork on ice. The peppercorn chicken which came with 2 eggs shelled which were filled with mango pudding to resemble the egg yolk. Playfully creative. The glutinous rice lobster ball is worth the try just for the presentation alone - came looking like mangosteens. Overall a very fun and enjoyable evening. Thank you.

Had a great first visit to Social Place with my daughter. The food quality was really good. The service was quick and friendly, making the experience smooth and comfortable. The ambience stood out the most with its lively vibe, stylish décor, and relaxed atmosphere. Overall, a great place to hang out and definitely worth visiting again.

This weekend, we revisited Social Place in Forum The Shopping Mall after quite some time, and oh what lovely experience it was :) We were delighted to find that the food was just as delicious as it was from when it first opened in 2019: fresh, flavourful, and prepared with care. The service was welcoming and attentive without being overbearing, which added to the pleasant time we had. It surprised me though that Social Place was not busier, since the restaurant has upkept the quality of its food over such a long period of time, which is no mean feat for a restaurant in Singapore. It is a hidden gem that deserves more recognition. I highly recommend revisiting if you have also not been in a while.

Very special buns. I particularly liked the mangosteen buns, as the bread texture is very unique. I also really liked the charcoal tofu, fried carrot cake, and the meat in chilli oil (forgot the name). Total damage for all the dishes listed here was just $202 for 5 pax, quite reasonably priced. I personally would recommend this place. It was not too crowded as well.

Saw all the great reviews of food, service and experience and decided to visit today to celebrate an auntie's birthday. Social Place team indeed live up to the great review to the fullest! From the unique HK cafe atmosphere to the impressive room decorated with mahjong wall, the fun element added to tableware (you see ants and flies in your bowls greeting you but rest assured, they are merely the fun friendly decor in your bowls), the unique experience starts the moment we stepped into the restaurant. The warm, excellent, attentive and impressive service with personal touch to each and every of the customers are unbeatable! The jovial, warm, attentive service with personal touch and humour made our day and especially that of our birthday senior star. Every aspect of our visit today left deep impression on us from the inquiry call, the atmosphere, the excellent warm jovial service to the awesome superb food! Thank you so much Social Place team for making our day. Hidden gem unbeatable in all aspects. Impressive!

I chance upon social place while looking for a suitable restaurant to bring my toddler grandson. The food is delicious. The tim sum is as good as those reputable restaurants in Hong Kong. My grandson loves the sweetcorn, chicken soup & beef. Service is great. As we were rushing to catch the snow event at Tanglin Mall, I did a paywave & left without checking the transaction. When I reached home, I realised from my credit card alert that the amount charged was more thsn the bill. I contacted the restaurant. The manager did a check & reverted a double payment by mistake. The staff send an apology & overpayment was refunded. Throughout the whole process, they acted promptly & very professional. Am pleased with the food, service & ambulence. Will definitely visit again to try the rest of the other items in the menu.

Really enjoyed dinner here with family. Most of the dishes were nice. The sweet and sour pork on ice, red rice roll, beef hot fun and the seafood crackling rice were exceptional . The other dishes were also very good. Exceptional service from Leah and Qiu Yin(?). Very helpful and efficient. Nice atmosphere.

Loved the vibe of this restaurant! Plenty of spacious seating. The staff were all very warm and pleasant, recommending their specialities to us. Be it if you’re having a catch up with friends, or a family dinner, the mood and the food is worth the travel down here. Special shoutout to the cold served sweet and sour pork; 色香味俱全
